Plumbing tees come in various types, including standard tees, reducing tees, and Wye tees. Each type serves different purposes in directing flow and connecting pipes of varying sizes.
To install a tee in a piping system, first, measure and cut the pipe at the desired location. Clean and deburr the pipe ends, then apply adhesive or sealant to the inside of the tee's sockets. Insert the pipe ends into the tee's sockets, ensuring a snug fit, and allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
