Ensure pump delivery pressure is lower than the allowable pressure of column pipes
Drill borewell straight down without bending
Connect the initial 3-metre steel pipe directly to the pump during the dry run for heat dissipation
Ensure the diameter of the tube well is at least 2" to 2.5" larger than the pump diameter
Mount the split clamp securely on the pipe beneath the coupler located at the top
Check and clean pipe threads with plain or soapy water
Place rubber gaskets in grooves on male threads of the pipe
Joint one pipe after another using a strap wrench until 50% of the rubber-sealing ring is in the coupler seat
Avoid using pipes with damaged/scratched ends
Do not use any chemical for cleaning pipe thread
Do not apply grease, oil, or any lubricants on the threads
Do not over-tighten pipes, it can lead to leakage or pipe cracks
Do not use a pipe/chain wrench to tighten joints
Avoid hammering pipes during assembly
The Finolex Column Pipes are available in 25 mm to 100 mm sizes for the coupler type and 25mm to 40mm for the bell end type.
Finolex offers a diverse range of column pipes, including V4, crystal, medium, standard, heavy, and super heavy types. These pipes are available in sizes ranging from 25mm to 100mm (1" to 4") in diameter.
To safeguard the bottom column pipes from heat damage during pump dry runs, consider connecting a 3-meter GI/steel pipe directly to the pump. Alternatively, install a partially open hand-operated valve at the top of the borewell to regulate water flow.
Our borewell column pipes come in sizes ranging from 25 to 100 mm (1” to 4”) in diameter, catering to diverse borewell requirements.
The PVC-U column pipes are employed for efficient water extraction from borewells, offering durability, corrosion resistance, and longevity in various applications.
