1. For bore-wells with casing pipes, a minimum gap of ½” between the internal diameter of the casing and OD of the pump is recommended. To obtain better results, ensure that the reamed bore-hole is at least 15 to 25 cm more than the outside diameter of the casing pipe. 


2. Casing pipes are provided to protect column (extraction) pipes and therefore should be one size more than the column pipes.


3.They should be used in loose soil where there is a possibility of the sides collapsing. 


4. There is no need to provide casing pipes for hard or rocky terrain. 


5. Casing pipes should have strainers of adequate size and efficiency, which are suitable to extract water. 


6. These pipes are equipped with good quality threaded joints and are easily assembled and installed.
